Alibis - Alibis are a second chance to fire your shots because of 1) rifle malfunction - failure to chamber or extract, etc, 2) ammo malfunction - failure to fire, chamber, etc, 3) shooter malfunction - failure to load right number of rounds, too slow in firing shots, fired on wrong target, etc, or 4) range failure - target blowing in wind, targets not appearing, etc.

Alibi, el único significado que conocía y el único que obtengo donde sea que busco es "coartada".

Es difícil contestar sin ver la frase completa y su contexto pero alibi también significa excusa o pretexto.

Si mal no recuerdo está ne el anexo A luego de las tablas I, II, III IV, V el título en sí es "shooting alibis" y en una parte reza: (no tengo el manual acá) "when shooting an alibi..." después lo reviso bien y te digo.

Como algunos saben, estoy traduciendo a cristiano la guía de entrenamiento para pistolas y revólveres. He avanzado mucho sinceramente pero estoy un poco trabado con algunos términos como por ejemplo el maldito:
"Shooting alibis"
Alibi, el único significado que conocía y el único que obtengo donde sea que busco es "coartada". No creo que alguien dispare una coartada o una coartada de tiros asi que si a alguien se le prende la lamparita o sabe a qué se refiere ¡Help!
